TOTFA Convention
August 6-7, 2011
Nacogdoches, Texas
The annual convention of the Texas Old Time Fiddlers Association is held each year in Nacogdoches, Texas. Convention activities commonly include:
- Annual Business Meeting.
- Election of Officers.
- Selection of Red Steeley Favorite Fiddler, Most Improved Fiddler, Favorite Accompanist, and Favorite Associate.
- Texas State Fiddle Contest.
- Benefit Auction.
The 2011 TOTFA Convention will be held on the dates of August 6-7 at the Banita Creek hall in Nacogdoches, Texas, following the 5th Annual Texas Fiddle Camp. We have a block of rooms set aside for us at the Comfort Suites Motel located just south of the loop in Nacogdoches on Highway 59. The number to call for reservations is (936) 560-9900.
Make plans now to attend! When you make your reservations, simply mention my name (Bryan Jimmerson) or TOTFA and there should be no problem. It is my hope that we have a huge turnout. I want to especially invite our fiddling friends from out of state to come and take part in the festivities. We will have more information on the Convention in the upcoming issues of the newsletter.
