Royce Franklin
Royce belongs to one of the most legendary families in the fiddling world. He is the second son of legendary fiddler, Major Franklin. Royce began playing guitar around the age of 7 and pretty much taught himself how to play by watching and observing other players and then figuring out various chords and chord progression on his own. Royce’s life has been filled with music and he has become one of the most sought after accompanists in the country for contests, jam sessions, and recording sessions. He has recorded with many legendary fiddlers while carving out his own legend as an accompanist. He has won numerous accompanists contests all over the country and in 2003 was inducted in the Fiddler Frolics Hall of Fame in Hallettsville, Texas.

Ray is Royce’s “little” brother, and too was raised in Denison Texas and started playing music with Major, his dad, at the very young age of five or six. Ray has been a champion guitarist at many major contests and has won several major titles.
